At Gates of Heaven Church, we envision a world where everyone feels loved, valued, and accepted. We strive to create a community where people can come together to worship, learn, and grow in their faith.

We are a diverse and welcoming community of believers who come from all walks of life. Whether you are young or old, single or married, or have a different background, we invite you to join us in worship and fellowship.

 Apostle Melvin Stackhouse was born and raised in Greenville, AL. He was influenced by music from birth.  Apostle grew up singing in church choirs. He later graduated and moved to Bridgeport, CT, where he rededicated his life to Christ and began singing in several choirs. He soon met the love of his life, Elaine Marie Stackhouse, and they were married in November 1983.   Apostle Stackhouse earned his Master’s degree in theology at Logos Christian College. He had been singing all of his life and had written several songs. You can find his work on many music services today. His assistant pastor and wife, Elaine Stackhouse, delights in her work with the children's ministry and mentoring women in the church and community.
